Giclees in my Etsy

I have reopened my online etsy store, and I have these 2 Giclee prints available.
This artwork has been prepared as a high-resolution digital Giclee (ghee-clay) print used for fine art categories. Giclee prints are produced on specialized inkjet prints, wherein the print is literally sprayed onto the paper in thousands of minute droplets per inch creating images that rival the appearance of continuous tone photographs.
This print has been specially formulated to assure fidelity and longevity, featuring the use of quality archival inks on high-quality 100% cotton archival paper. Treated with the care and respect due any work of art, this print is expected to retain its rich color in excess of one hundred years.

Merry Christmas

A couple of months ago I was helping a friend redecorate her bedroom. Based on the cool stuff she had, including awesome bedding in black and tan, we decided to run with something french-themed. That, combined with the fact that she loves birds, gave me the idea to create this piece of art for her + her husband for Christmas. It's a 14x16 canvas done in acrylics. It doesn't show up too well in the photo, but there is some work on the background: I wrote the words "j'adore" and "ami" in zinc white. And I stamped on some fleur-dis-lys in titan buff--which is just a hair darker than the background. I then outlined the fleur-dis-lys with white caran d'arche. Excuse my french spelling, by the way!

gosh, i haven't blogged in forever. my life has turned upside down with busyness. here are a few things i've made in the past month or so.
