misc pieces

here are a zetti atc, a beach-themed altered envelope, and a mushroom-themed postcard i recently made for various challenges.

juneau view

had a wonderful time with val from new orleans and carolyn from memphis this week. we even scored one sunshiny day, so my husband i whisked them over to glacier gardens. here's a view looking towards downtown juneau and douglas island (right) from 600' elevation.

Hotel California

4x6 collaged postcard for an Eagles' songs inspired swap.

girl (modified), building, viewmaster disk, and some background from Tumble Fish Studio at deviantscrap.com (element sets: city limits; twinkle toes; just for fun).

also, maya angelou text; vellum bridge, found paper, rubber stamping, various pens, markers, crayons.

pious

here's an artist trading card (atc)that i made using elements from tumblefishstudios at deviantscrap.com.
the girl is from her angel elements pack; the fish is from her fish babes package, and some of the backgrounds are from other element packs.

i also used found paper, rubber stamping, and various pens.

India

It's been a while since I've found time to create art for the weekly challenge at Sunday Postcard Art, but I really enjoy the site's challenges. This week's theme is India, which is far beyond what I'm used to making. I hope I rose to the challenge okay!
Om Namah Shivaya essentially refers to honoring the divinity within, which I learned in the book, Eat Pray Love.

it's been awhile...

...since i've blogged. i've been busy enjoying the sunshine and spending time with my daughter now that school's out. but alas, the rains have returned, so i thought i'd share a few things i've worked on here and there. everything has been made for swaps. the 3 atcs are for a geisha themed swap; the art quote postcard is for an art quote pc swap; and the woman in the garden postcard is for a swap that had to contain the phrase "i'm happiest in my garden."

marking the days

i've hopped onboard the calendar journal bandwagon. here's mine for may. the idea is to journal something every day, but i created this calendar near the end of may + couldn't remember something from every day. my calendar is 9x12 and a better fit for my scanner would be 8.5x11. oh well!
