Gov. Sarah Palin comes through

As I shared in an earlier post, my daughter was disappointed after a series of mishaps to not score the autograph and a photo of Gov. Sarah Palin, after my daughter sang at the annual Governor's Open House.
So I sent an email to Gov. Palin, explained all that went wrong, and requested a signed photo.
And on Wed. my daughter, 11, received that photo that was signed with a note addressed to my daughter. She's thrilled.
Sometimes it just pays to ask.

You know our children sometimes need a little help along those lines. When my Missy was about 9 she was so into the Redskins especially Dave Butts. Because he drove past our house going home from Redskin Park he would always sign our big sign on the porch after a win. She was sick..born with a rare muscle disease, no prognosis so I wrote him...not only did he send a signed autograph, but he called her!!! What a nice guy!!! Hugs to your daughter!!!

thanks for restraining yourself, suzan! she's just a little girl, and to her palin's like a celebrity because she's seen palin on tv.

yes, mary, i can view your blog. just can't comment. it gets stuck on loading flickr and then won't let me navigate from there.

thanks for the nice comments, bev and roc. it's always uplifting when we see our kids glow with happiness!
